TYPES OF CERTIFICATION

After completing the required courses you will qualify for one of the following certifications:

No Degree ........... Certified Temperament Counselor
Bachelors ............ Licensed Christian Counselor
Masters ..……...... Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor
Doctorate …….... Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor
with Advanced Certification

CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

This basic certification program consists of one course entitled Creation Therapy. This is equivalent to Temperament Theory, Temperament Therapy, & Testing/ Measurement in the Licensing program. This would certify a student to administer Temperament Analysis Profiles (TAPS) to individuals they counsel professionally or in church ministry. This portion of the program allows an individual to experience a portion of the course work with a minimum investment. Upon completion you would be certified as a Temperament Counselor by the N.C.C.A. If you choose to continue on to the full Pastoral Training Program, these (6) credits would be transferred.

LICENSING PROGRAM: PHASE I

This program is targeted for lay persons; no ministerial credentials are required. Minimum educational requirement is a High School diploma or GED

Course 1: Basic Christian Counseling
Course 2: Intro to Christian Psychology Counseling

All necessary textbooks are included in course material. Time element, up to this point, is approximately 118 hours total. Three hours of clinical supervision and processing of 10 TAPS are also required.

LICENSING PROGRAM: PHASE II

Completion of Phase II (Phase I a pre-requisite) allows licensing through the three (3) mentioned below. Time element for course work is 106 hours approximately. Three hours of clinical supervision and processing of 15 TAPS are also required. Upon completion you can obtain a license certificate for "Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor".

1.Mastering Pastoral Counseling
2. Suicide / Teen Suicide
3. Crisis Counseling
